2023.06.02 07:30 Fine_Accountant7102 Welcome to YFM fight club! Pick one to help defend you. The rest are going to be attacking/fighting against you.
A question like this takes lots of thinking and analyzing to make sure you choose the absolutely correct choice so you don't get killed or injured in this hypothetical fight. Let me walk you through it and provide some important information and details about each canidate before you vote to help you decide:
Puff Puff: -Doesn't give up -Will probably put up a good fight -"Every day, day and every night, night I'm gonna fight fight fight to win" -Won't stop till he's won -Try hard -Angry man -Looks like he fights people on a daily basis -Can use microphone stand as weapon (As seen in Zombillies) -Short -Not that strong -Slightly funny;May distract your opponents with bad jokes -Can sing/rap to distract
DeeJay: -Can body slam opponents with all his body mass and possibly knock them out cold -Mesmerize opponent with his coolness (DeeJay is the level of cool we all aspire to beđ) -Can fix stuff (As seen in Zombillies) -Seems smarter than the rest of the band -Level headed -Has common sense -Big -Might put up a good fight -Will probably not stop till he's won -Won't give up; Very loyal -
throws DeeJay table and knocks opponents out cold Benatar: -Can use keytar as weapon (As seen in Zombillies) -Unfazed by Zombillies; possibly fearless -Tall -Might use British powers or something; can confuse opponents with accent -
pours scorching tea on opponents britishly đŹđ§ -Has biscuits -Have you seen Somebody that I've used to know YFM cover? This guy is as skinny as a f
cking twig. I could snap his arm in half over my leg. No muscles there. His punch couldn't knock over a paper cup on a windy day. -Have you seen YFMTS? This guy gets shit on all the fcking time and does nothing to stop it. Bro's a doormat. A quivering pussy pushover. -Been chasing after the same girl for probably several years now. She still thinks he's her "gay best friend". Negative Rizz. You expect him to win a fight if he cannot conquer a simple battle in the war of romance? -Will probably run from danger instead of fighting -He's my favorite band member but come on, he's not a good fight partner. Pretty sure a toaster has more useful assets than Benatar in this scenario.
Axel: -DID YOU SEE HOW BUFF THIS DUDE GOT IN GENERATION 2? Bro's more jacked than Mr. Douchebag and thats saying something. Even in Generation 1.5 he is still the most muscular out of the 4 -Has Viking Helmet with pointy horns. Works both as a weapon and as protection -Has Vincent the Hawk. Vincent ripped a Zombillies eyeball out of his skull. I'm scared of this bird. He will attack and he will kill. He is looking for the taste of blood and won't stop until he gets it -It has been mentioned on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS that this man has experience in pyrotechnics. And he has "pyro guys". Plural. He has several of these people a phone call away. DO YOU KNOW HOW OVERPOWERED THAT IS? HE CAN PRESS A F
CKING BUTTON AND SET SOMEONE ON FIRE IN AN INSTANT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL -Has drumsticks as weapons --throws drum set and knocks opponents out cold*;drum set is heavy and has lots of pointy stick things - Will distract you with his ultimate rizz. Has "pickup line reflex" from rizzing up so many chicks -Kinda stupid -Skipped leg day. Legs are as skinny as Benatar. Could snap them like twigs
TLDR: Axel is the obvious choice here. Choose him or else you're gonna die. Good luck. And whatever you do don't choose Benatar you dumbass.
Holy crap I'm sorry that is a lot of writing. I got carried away. I hope at least 1 person reads that all but hopefully you are informed to make the best choice here. Best of luck in the hypothetical fight arena.

2023.06.02 07:30 Dayron_Shekledor About Space Program of Zambia (Part 1)
| Afranauts What do you know about the Space Race? The rivalry, during which the USSR and the USA showed their superiority in the exploration of outer space, led to the rapid development of our technologies. However, few people are talking about another player in this race. I will tell you about Zambia's space program. Zambia is among the poorest countries in the world, and in the 1960s only a few in the country graduated from at least secondary school. Of course, the space program was out of question, but it really existed! Nkoloso in front of their base. On October 30, 1964, an article about the celebration of Zambia's Independence Day appeared. It said that during the celebration, a certain Edward Mukuka Nkoloso said that the celebration interferes with his space program, and that he is already training 12 confectioners for a flight to the moon, and that the USSR and the USA could only dream of their technologies. But who was this Nkoloso? A war veteran, a fighter for the independence of Zambia, for which he spent 5 years in prison, and when Zambia became independent, he appointed himself the General Director of the Academy of Sciences, Space Research and Philosophy. He also wore a military helmet... and a raincoat. When he was asked what he thought the reaction of the USA and the USSR would be to this, he said that Zambia was underestimated, and that this was the country of the future! However, he was not alone, 10 people and 2 cats were diligently preparing for a flight to Mars and the Moon. He called them Afranauts. However, to get to the Moon, money was needed, a lot of money, about 2 billion. He was waiting for funding from the governments of neighboring countries, from ordinary people, but no one wanted to help them. According to Nkoloso, the government is interested, and that's enough. However, on its own, Nkoloso still managed to assemble the first concept of a space rocket. And their rocket was ahead of everyone else's technology, because this was just a copper pipe... literally. And stop laughing, he was proud of his technology, because he had a way to send this rocket to the moon, the Mukwa Propulsion System. As far as I could understand it was a catapult... Yes, they stretched some elastic material between the trees, and tried to launch a capsule into space. However, according to his words, space was so close, because the capsule took off by as much as 6 feet. However, just read what was said in the newspapers: Newspaper from Zambia The first Zambian astronaut was successfully launched into orbit today at 3:14 pm (Central African time)! Ten... Nine... Eight..." began Nkoloso, but the report had to be stopped due to technical problems. Finally, when he took a comfortable position, Nkoloso shouted "TAKE OFF" and pushed the capsule with his foot. 21-year-old cosmonaut, Godfrey Mwango, after making 17 turns, went down the slope, but walking in an oil barrel. "Man, what a ride!" he said. Edward Nkoloso called it an unconditional success! As you understand, their tests were serious, for example, they experienced weightlessness on a swing, and at the highest point Nkoloso cut the rope. This is how the day of the Zambian Space Program was held ... p.s. this story has a sequel. submitted by Dayron_Shekledor to StoryTown [link] [comments] |
2023.06.02 07:29 theflintseeker How do we feel about Tindra for a baby girl
Wife (swedish, lived in USA 12 years) and I (American) trying to find a baby name for a girl due in 5 months. Weâve gone through SO many names.
One name we canât find much info on is Tindra. It seems somewhat popular in sweden (top 100 I think) but nowhere to be found in US (I donât even see it ranked anywhere??). We have a few other names weâre considering but like the uniqueness of this one. The meaning is sweet of course tooâ twinkle. But maybe it sounds too much like Tundra? Or I was even thinking it sounds kind of like a cross between Tincture and Kendra I have no idea why.
Others still in the running: - Adele; really our #1 contender, but only concern is that itâs tied to a single celebrity, and if she Kanyeâs, it could be BAD!! - Tova; itâs nice and has meaning with my Jewish heritage, but the pronounciation might be tough toe-vah (as in shana tova) vs. tovuh. - Esther; also really nice in both cultures but again, pronounciation is tough is it ess-thur (no!) or es-ter (yes !)
Pretty much out - Freya: we love it but last name starts with U⊠- Astrid: love it, but ruined by the office :(

2023.06.02 07:29 mrbrutka Multiplayer - who would win, Italy or Golden Horde?
I'm playing a multiplayer campaign, as Italy. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience fighting a horde player in MP, can give me some advice.
Currently, it's mil tech 18, I have 200k to the horde 140k. We both have meta military bonus buffs, (discipline/ica for me and cav ca for horde).
Despite my on paper superiority, I think I still will lose battles on flat ground due to horde +25% shock bonus, and must limit fighting to rough terrain.
If anyone can confirm or deny their experience in a similar matchup it would be super helpful so that I don't find out first hand by getting stackwiped!

This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 68%. (I'm a bot)
Al-Shafi'i was buried in Cairo's City of the Dead, an area that has long served as the final resting place for rulers, scholars and commoners.
In many cases, that involves moving-or razing-monuments in the City of the Dead. "I'm not sure how many monuments have been destroyed. Every day we go, we find burials that have been removed," Mostafa el-Sadek tells Magdy Samaan of the Telegraph.
El-Sadek works as an obstetrician at Cairo University, but he has joined forces with other concerned Egyptian citizens who voluntarily comb through the rubble of the City of the Dead. He and his group recently found an engraving in Kufi Arabic that dates back to 836 C.E., according to the Telegraph.
Egyptian architect Galila el-Kadi has fought against development in the City of the Dead, which already houses thousands of Cairo's poorest citizens living in ramshackle homes among the mausoleums.
Cairo is home to about 20 million people, and it ranks among the world's most densely populated cities.
As the Telegraph reports, one of the biggest problems for activists like el-Kadi and el-Sadek is that many of the City of the Dead's landmarks are not registered under antiquities laws.

This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 59%. (I'm a bot)
Mexican authorities have found 45 bags containing human remains in a ravine outside the western city of Guadalajara.
Officials were searching for seven young call centre workers, who had been reported missing last week, when they found the bodies.
The remains include men and women, and the number of bodies is not yet known.
The state prosecutor's office for the western state of Jalisco said in a statement that, following a tip-off in the search for the seven people, they had begun searching at the Mirador del Bosque ravine where they found the bags that included body parts.
The first bag was found on Tuesday, but because of the difficult terrain and lack of sunlight, the investigation resumed on Wednesday and will continue until all remains are located, the prosecutor's office said.
Relatives of the disappeared say that the government is not doing enough to find them, and that officials are indifferent when they report their loved ones as missing.

2023.06.02 07:28 osrs_100 Facts about piggies and the sun đ
1.Guinea pigs have no sweat glands, and heat regulation by means of sweating is not possible for them, meaning these rodents are exposed to great health risks in summer. Temperatures of 25°C and above can leave them susceptible to heat stress, from 30°C there is a high risk of death from heat.
2.Guinea pigs can then lay down on the surface and cool their bodies down. And just like humans, when it is hot for us we drink more water. Same thing for guinea pigs. Ensure that there is ample, cool and clean water for guinea pigs to drink.
3.Consider partially covering the cage with damp cloths and towels -signs of heat stroke in piggies include listlessness, laying in a stretched-out posture, panting, and drooling.
4.Cooling mats are a thing for guinea pigs and can be bought at local pet stores. Optionally wet cloths can be a cheaper option.
5.Outdoor accommodation - if you're keeping your guinea pigs outside, their hutch should be sheltered from direct sun and direct wind. In temperatures below 15°C, you should move them indoors. They are very sensitive to temperature.

This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 80%. (I'm a bot)
Israel's far-right Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has been jeered by marchers at Jerusalem Gay Pride.
The march was the first since the election of a hardline religious-nationalist government, including openly homophobic senior ministers.
Mr Ben-Gvir, who as National Security minister was responsible for securing the march, has a long track-record of aggressively homophobic positions and once attended a so-called "Beast parade" rejecting LGBTQ rights.
A few dozen ultra-religious and far-right protesters, organised by Lehava, were separated by police from the Gay Pride rally.
Gay Pride marcher Elisa Gilman stood with a sign offering "Free hugs" to younger participants who "Haven't had a hug from a parent for a while" due to their sexuality.
In 2006, Mr Ben-Gvir attended a so-called beast parade against Gay Pride, in which religious activists led goats and donkeys through the streets and hoisted banners calling LGBTQ people "Impure".

Goodreads Rating: 4.07 average from 410,719 readers
Genre Tags: Nonfiction, Psychology, Self Help
Synopsis: At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introvertsâRosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniakâthat we owe many of the great contributions to society. In Quiet, Susan Cain argues that we dramatically undervalue introverts and shows how much we lose in doing so. She charts the rise of the Extrovert Ideal throughout the twentieth century and explores how deeply it has come to permeate our culture. She also introduces us to successful introvertsâfrom a witty, high-octane public speaker who recharges in solitude after his talks, to a record-breaking salesman who quietly taps into the power of questions. Passionately argued, superbly researched, and filled with indelible stories of real people, Quiet has the power to permanently change how we see introverts and, equally important, how they see themselves. Country of Origin: America
Pagecount: 326 in TPB; 328 in HC
Goodreads Rating: 3.92 average from 52,856 readers
Genre Tags: Nonfiction, Adventure, Travel
Synopsis: A five-hundred-year-old legend. An ancient curse. A stunning medical mystery. And a pioneering journey into the unknown heart of the world's densest jungle. Since the days of conquistador Hernån Cortés, rumors have circulated about a lost city of immense wealth hidden somewhere in the Honduran interior, called the White City or the Lost City of the Monkey God. Indigenous tribes speak of ancestors who fled there to escape the Spanish invaders, and they warn that anyone who enters this sacred city will fall ill and die. In 1940, swashbuckling journalist Theodore Morde returned from the rainforest with hundreds of artifacts and an electrifying story of having found the Lost City of the Monkey God-but then committed suicide without revealing its location. Three quarters of a century later, author Doug Preston joined a team of scientists on a groundbreaking new quest. In 2012 he climbed aboard a rickety, single-engine plane carrying the machine that would change everything: lidar, a highly advanced, classified technology that could map the terrain under the densest rainforest canopy. In an unexplored valley ringed by steep mountains, that flight revealed the unmistakable image of a sprawling metropolis, tantalizing evidence of not just an undiscovered city but an enigmatic, lost civilization. Venturing into this raw, treacherous, but breathtakingly beautiful wilderness to confirm the discovery, Preston and the team battled torrential rains, quickmud, disease-carrying insects, jaguars, and deadly snakes. But it wasn't until they returned that tragedy struck: Preston and others found they had contracted in the ruins a horrifying, sometimes lethal-and incurable-disease.
