Mogan wasn't so calm when he was back on the bridge of the Semiramis. He paced, grumbling as he waited for the last of the boarding craft to land in the ship's hangars.
The San weren't completely unfamiliar with the idea of slavery. It had been a generation or more since anybody had owned one, but that was nothing to boast of—the reasons were economic, not moral. He had seen them in other tribes, particularly those near the coasts that were never short of food. Some had lived well, some had not.
Mogan hadn't thought much about it. They had no power to change another tribe's ways, after all, and wars were lost. It was certainly a better fate than losing a war with the Animal People—after that, your true master was the cooking skin, and the sooner you were transferred to its possession the better.
And yet this disgusted him.
It wasn't just the filth, the rags, the way they blinked at the light of open air or the way they trembled when he frowned. But he didn't know what the rest was. Perhaps a sense of guilt—had there been a time when his own people would have done the same? Or was it the fact that humanity, of all the sapient species in the galaxy, may well share that fate?
He shook his head to clear away the thought, but it would not go.
Logog and Burya came to the bridge with a nod. “They're getting cleaned up now, and we've got the layer-printers making something for them. What they had on...” Burya grimaced. “We spaced it. Threw it in an airlock and then opened up the other side and let it fly. With any luck it'll burn up when it goes down to the planet.”
Only a few short years ago, shooting stars were considered an act of the spirits; now they were making one.
Logog nodded. “I had the people who brought machine parts in down to the infirmary. It didn't take long to get them back in working order, but we'll certainly have to be less foolish next time.”
Mogan shrugged. “I should have thought of it. After all, I've only had one for seventeen years. But I've got something else in mind. About the slave thing.”
Both of them looked distinctly uncomfortable, but Burya was the one to say it. “To think... if someone had offered them to us, pretty much any point more than eight or ten years ago, we'd have taken them.”
“And the only reason we wouldn't after is because we couldn't feed them,” Logog said. “I've thought of that too. Are we hypocrites, that we can get furious at someone else for doing what we probably would have done?”
Mogan almost winced. That was rather close to what he had been thinking.
But Logog shook his head. “Maybe it does. I'm no shaman; I wouldn't know. But it felt good to stop it, that's certain. Maybe we've just grown. Maybe our circumstances changed—I really don't know. But what's your plan?”
“We grabbed computers from this base, yes?”
Burya nodded, and Mogan continued. “Clacha and the others were right. They don't process it here; they load up the ore onto ships and ship it somewhere. Let's get one of Wakawa's experts on that and find out where the ships go.”
Mogan smiled. “I propose we find where they're quartered, rob the place blind, and blow it up.”
It was easier said than done. Wakawa did indeed have an expert, but the information on it was sparse.
While their expert went over the stolen information, others went through the loot. The rifles were standard, useable but not terribly needed. The shoshir were useless—they might find a market, but would probably be scrapped. They had been taken more because they were there. The rock itself was useless until it was processed, so overall the raid was a bust, except for the rescues.
As the days passed, the Vishtali opened up a bit. Not at first; for the first three days they stared wide-eyed, waiting to see what their new owners would do to them. Mogan had seen the first time that talking to them would do little good here, and so all he could do was wait.
Four days passed, and he began to ask them about future plans. He didn't expect an answer, and none had one. Well, three of them wanted to be his wife, but to accept that would have been plain and simple exploitation; the very idea left a bad taste in his mouth, and he made a note to make a ruling about it just in case someone else in the tribe was more greedy or just less perceptive. Mogan asked them simply to get them thinking about the idea. It was another day before he laid out options, including working for him on the Semiramis—for pay—or finding their own way as citizens in the Settlements.
He made a mental note to speak to Shett. If war with the Sovereignty meant saving more of these people, then they would need some system for doing so. Dropping them off on some planet and telling them to fend for themselves was only mildly more feasible than throwing them out the airlock and telling them to swim home. Just one more reason to hate the Sovereignty, really.
The rest of the day, he told them stories. He wasn't the best storyteller, but he told them of his earlier experiences; how he had been captured by accident, toured the galaxy in a science vessel, hunted giant lizards. He told them of how he had met Hyeshi and lost her, and while he wasn't a good storyteller the story itself made up the difference.
They had Specimen Implants, the ones put into animals—whether actual scientific specimens or livestock. They didn't translate, so Mogan had to speak in the Sovereign Tongue that was almost the same as the dominant Sylfa language, but they did protect from diseases. The conditions they had been living in probably put a little extra wear on the things, but nonetheless each of them got Citizen Implants. That process was slow, as the cruiser's medical bay wasn't meant to handle large numbers at one time, but with each day more of them had the official mark of a sapient person, and that too made a difference in their outlook.
It was the sixth day, staying near the planet of Goretia but not in it, when Wakawa's tech came to him.
Rentarsh was a Sylfa—that did seem to be the majority in the galaxy, for either nation—and he didn't look terribly pleased with his information.
“Nothing, captain. Not a damn thing about destination. But we did find the schedule. Two more days and the White Platinum is coming in to pick up a load. Seeing as it's actually going to whatever they have for processing, we can follow it.”
Mogan nodded. They wouldn't be able to follow it unless they could stay out of its sensor range and still be able to know where it was; a difficult proposition. But they were, after all, privateers now. They could simply take the ship.
He nodded to the tech. “Calculate its likely approach vectors and let me know. We'll be ready for it.”
Two more days passed before Sensors sounded the alarm and Mogan rushed to the bridge. Ellisan was already in her seat, and as Mogan stood before the captain's chair he saw the ship on the holos.
The White Platinum looked innocent enough. Plenty of asteroids were big enough to contain deposits of metal, but not big enough to set up a smelting facility on them, so ore-haulers like this were fairly common.
Preying on one was not. After all, their cargo wasn't even metal, but thousands of tons of rock that was anything from half to a fraction of a percent metal. An admiralty judge assessing that prize would probably laugh at whoever brought it in.
Which is why it was something of a surprise when the massive cruiser appeared around the moon, slingshotting around it for extra speed, and bore down on the massive hauler like a falcon on the dive. The hauler was already slowing to go into orbit—at more than ten kilometers long it would never have been able to fly into atmosphere or escape the planet's gravity if it had—and now it frantically tried to turn and flee.
If it could escape the planet's gravity well, back into the Currents... well, it still couldn't escape. It tried anyway, since it had no alternative.
“White Platinum,” said Mogan as the comms carried the message across. “This is the licensed privateer Semiramis. Shut off your shields and engines, and prepare to be boarded.”
If anything, the ship accelerated harder, probably beyond what was safe for its engines, and Mogan nodded. “Burya, half the broadside guns, please.”
Ellisan nodded as well, and the ship turned slightly to the right so that the guns had room to fire. Burya spoke into his wristpad, and there was a slight bump as the etheric cannon fired, balls streaking in a fraction of a moment to the ship.
Gouts of shrapnel flew from the far side of the ship, and it changed direction, flying towards the planet rather than away.
Mogan frowned. “What in the Frozen Valley are they doing?”
“Crashing,” Ellisan grunted. “In a few minutes, I think we'll see the shuttles and lighters leave with the crew, and they know that if we really have a Letter of Marque we can't fire on escape cra—ahh, there's the first one.”
She pointed to the holo as a surprisingly large launch separated and streaked away. The lighters were only meant for loading and unloading the ship, carrying half a hundred tons or more into atmosphere where it could be unloaded, or vice versa.
“They won't have shields,” Mogan shrugged. “We can see about them. Will we be in time to stop the ship?”
Ellisan sighed and shook her head. “They probably locked the controls even if we did make it on. But if I was on right now, I don't think I could stop it in time. It's too heavy, and gravity is working with it too.”
Indeed, the White Platinum was moving faster now than it had in its frantic escape.
“Ready some techs and some guards,” Mogan said with a sigh. “And let's see what we can find. There must be three or four hundred million tons on that thing. And we'll put a boarding craft after each of the Lighters. Those are still cargo craft, even if minor.”
And so they waited, again. The White Platinum itself landed with a rather spectacular explosion. Dust, rocks, and even full-sized trees flew into the air, and it was two days before it settled enough that they could approach. The skies were literally dimmer, and it was likely a lot of animals would die before the year was up. The lighters weren't so lucky. Abandoned by the shuttles—which did have shields, after all, and could catch the currents going elsewhere—the lighters could either keep flying or land, and they were easy prey for the boarding craft.
“The first decided to fight it out. We didn't stick to atlatls for them, and it didn't take long. But the second crew was wiser, especially when we reminded them they'd been abandoned. They swore they didn't know what was going on down here. I don't believe them, but they did say where the ship was bound. And showed me on the navs, so I don't think they were lying. They're taking it to a moon orbiting Lancas-4.”
“Good.” Mogan grinned, and it was not pretty. “Time to make those Sovereignty bastards pay.”
“Captain?” Wakawa paused. “That's... not Sovereignty. Lancas is a Settlement system.”

2023.06.09 05:44 JustALarry Lurker wants to learn
Lurker wants to learn I find this sub a great source for info, thanks to all. Am thinking about starting either a .308 or 6.5CM build. Primarily target with hope of possible hog. I'm in Florida so a 100 yard shot is kinda rare, to the point of even finding a range with 100 + lane. This will be a budget build, if I am able and events warrant I can upgrade components in the future. I completely understand others way ahead of me who might have the opinion to go with the best or don't bother. If I dare ask what are the opinion of many places where I can get a completed upper? I have a lower. Part of the fun would be in the building, I have a few 5.56's and other guns and enjoy how things work, got my first gun when I was 10. In the budget end of things is it better to go slow and wait for sales or just buy the package from 80% or the like. I am aware that the AR-10 is not as standardized as the AR-15 design. Some quick thoughts and I would sure love to hear from the group. .308 for SHTF possibilities (not thinking likely, not thinking impossible) vs CM for what I hear is a legit improved hit probability. Ammo to feed the .308 doesn't seem that much cheaper. Once again the likelihood of a 300 yard shot is really, really rare. I doubt I will lugging this 2 miles through the palmettos but I understand .308 can be heavly. On that note I will mention fluted and stainless barrels, ect just for the conversation. TIA

2023.06.09 05:26 Kryptin RE 6 Chris/Piers Campaign' s Interesting Approach To Horror
Before I played Resident Evil 6, I got spoiled a little. I heard that the first campaign of Leon/Helena is pretty much an attempt at classic survivor horror while Chris/Piers is the most action oriented of all four.
This is somewhat of a misleading information unfortunately reinforced by the fact that most people didn't complete the game. RE 6 is the most panned game in the series after all. Its gameplay changes are extensive, requiring a tard bit of patience and discipline to master before you can effectively enjoy it. Lots of gamers didn't have the stomach for that.
Anyway, if you play Chris/Piers campaign, it starts up of course like action. Enemies are the human-like gun and machete wielding J'avos, you're immediately equipped with a submachine gun, you're accompanied by several teammates of the BSAA, and like typical marines, you're getting direct command from HQ on the comm link, recovering and reviving wounded soldiers, even taking down enemies' gun turrets.
But as you work your way from Chapter Two or Three onwards, the campaign seems to slowly take a progressively darker and more horror tone. Enemies turn increasingly scarier and monster-like. One by one, the entire members of your team begin to fall off and die at the hands of these horrors, until the end of the game when Chris is the only one left standing.
Most horror games shove you in the middle of horror right away, building you towards a climax. RE 6 Chris/Piers campaign does the reverse. By the time you start the campaign, you expect nothing but action and plenty of ammos to waste on enemies. But it's not empty action. It's a gradual and subtle descent to horror that you don't see coming. Till eventually, you go, "Oh, shit! This isn't some generic third person co-op military shooter. Not Left 4 Dead either. This is Resident Evil. Enemies are stronger and smarter here, they take and dish plenty of damages. They're fast and it's sometimes just safer to avoid combat.
Among the complaints of RE6 is that the game lacks balance, 'it doesn't know if it wants to be action or horror. Something in the line of, it's too much ammo and guns to be horror, yet it doesn't give you enough ammo for a third person shooter. It tries and fails to appease to both horror and shooter crowds.
And much as I disagree with the naysayers, they may have a point here. But they're missing a crucial point fundamental to the game as well. What the writers of RE 6 set out to do first and foremost is to tell a big climatic story with the universe they already built. But that kind of story won't work well in a strictly traditional horror gameplay like earlier RE titles. You can't have BSAA operatives recruited, trained and deployed to neutralize BOWs just bumbling their way through a mansion, scraping for handgun rounds, searching for keys to unlocks doors they could just blast open with TNTs.
This is not STARS Alpha team. This is BSAA Alpha team. Story-wise, the gameplay of RE 6 fits the natural progression of the characters from the original games as well as the story the writers attempt to tell in this iteration. So, while there is constant shift between action and horror in between chapters or within chapters, it works well here from a story perspective.
And really, I wish to find another horror title that employs similar shift in tone, slowly building up from what appears like a pure action game, to a survival horror experience.

2023.06.09 04:39 jerrygrzegorzek How Is International Marketing Different from Domestic Marketing?
- LEGAL DIFFERENCES
a.
Legal & Illegal products. Different countries around the globe have different legal systems, and sets of laws and regulations. Some countries will have very strict laws on what can and cannot be advertised and sold to the public. There are many of these laws and they will have direct impact on upon strategic and operational decisions of international marketing. Some goods are illegal to sell freely in some countries such as guns, certain medications, light narcotics, etc.
Example 4: Some goods, such as guns, can be sold freely in some states in the USA, but are illegal in countries in Europe.
b.
Packaging & Product labeling. Some countries have very strict legislation governing product labeling, the amount of information which should be included on the packaging of the product and product safety requirements. Additionally, even the same law within a country regarding packaging and labeling of food products may have different standards. This means that it might be more difficult and hence more expensive to sell the same products in overseas markets.
On the contrary, some other countries are far less stringent about consumer protection laws. For instance, product safety and product labeling controls are much stricter in the EU countries than in some African states.
Example 5: In Islamic countries, the law requires that food producers provide ingredient information on the food labels as the law forbids use of animal fat. Especially lard which a saturated fat obtained from pigs. It is because any food containing lard is completely forbidden in Islam.
Example 6: In Venezuela, prices must be stated on the product while in China they do not have to.
c.
Advertising. There are many restrictions regarding advertising. What is more, ads of certain products may even be completely prohibited in some countries. This mainly applies to advertising cigarettes and other tobacco products, spirits and alcoholic drinks, advertising to children or birth control medical products.
Example 7: Cigarette advertising on television has been banned in the USA since 1971 and is outlawed in the European Union. In Sweden, it is illegal to advertise on the TV directly to children below the age of 12 on Swedish TV.
Example 8: Pester power marketing, which is high-pressure marketing aimed at very young children, is forbidden within EU countries, but not in many other parts of the world.
d.
Copyrights, patents, trademarks. Copyright, patent and trademark legislation must be adhered to. These regulations mainly apply to issues such as the company name, brand names, slogans, inventions already assigned to other businesses. These legal issues are additional restrictive trade practices.
e.
Pricing. Most countries have their own laws and regulations to protect consumers from unfair or dangerous business activity. Some countries have very strict regulations on market power which companies expanding internationally need to take into consideration when making pricing decisions.
Anti-competitive legislation is established to prevent monopolies from raising prices to exploit customers. It is especially followed in the US, the UK, Australia and Canada.

2023.06.09 04:31 Ooijennnnnn Yakuza: Dead Souls is amazing and I want it to be "canon", the Yakuza 4 wrote script for a movie. I'm in love with it, playing Majima and Ryuji is amazing. The hate is stupid, yeah it runs like a cube but it happens. Seriously it could be one of my favorites. [DEAD SOULS APPRECIATION-LOVE POST)
And I want Ryuji Goda to change his name in Joryuju God's.
That's all.
Anyways, guys, if you can, play it, on PS3 with the horrible performances or on PC with RPCS3 with the constant troubleshooting and freezes and crashes.
But trust me, it's 100% a Yakuza game in it's (Undead, I'd say: Alive and Healthy) Soul.
It's giving me the OG Yakuza feeling I sometimes miss a lot, yeah I could ply again let's say 4 but why not trying something new? And it's AMAZING.
I NEED A SEQUEL OR A KIWAMI VERSION BECAUSE IT DESERVES IT.
LISTEN, SEGA, CAPCOM STARTED DOING IT, KONAMI IS TRYING, SEGA CAN DO IT TOO.
I'd even accept a game in which some evil guy, reads the script The Yakuza 4 made before going on the Millennium Tower and after Yausko's funeral and decides to make it happen.
My God, that's the OG Yakuza feeling I needed.
I love the new stuff a lot, but I missed the pre 6 games with I don't know what engine and the jank and such.
I'm so happy I decided to go through it even though it runs so bad.
I get to play some of my favorite boys and THEY HAVE GUNS PEW PEW
That's all.
Lemme know what you think about one of the best RGG games.
Is it amazing or kiwamazing? (other opinions are wrong and invalid /s)
(sorry for any grammar mistakes or such but I'm really tired and had a few and on top of my meds it's not the best)

2023.06.09 04:29 Guwho Brother arrested on false gun chargers
Ok I’m just going to start off and say I made a post about this last week in this sub but I didn’t have the 100% details and was going of information from over a year ago. I’ve gotten new details on the case and going to share them here
My brother and 3 other people were meeting up at a Walmart to gather in a rental vehicle to drive to a different location to shoot a music video.
As they all arrived and were moving things from their person vehicles to the rental car, they were approached by plain clothed under cover officers (no body cams) and detained under the suspicion of them “Moving in and out of vehicles”
Clearly the detainment should of been over once’d they gathered everyone’s id and see that the vehicle they were going in and out of is theirs.
Not sure if they were searched illegally or not but they were searched and the driver of the rental van, was concealed carrying at the time.
The officers then arrest 3 out of the 4 people there including my brother for possession of a firearm, even though the true owner claimed possession and was allowed to leave that night with his firearm.
I’m not sure if the gun was sitting loosely in the rental or not but it was never in possession of my brother or his 2 friends.
He was on probation at the time and wasn’t able to bond out so he’s been in jail for over a year or so now. They’ve dropped the charges of possession of a firearm about 6 months ago.
But I’m hearing now that they have transported him to a federal prison about 3 months ago and there may be trying to charge him with possession of ammunition now, even though he never had anything on him the day he was arrested.
Me and my father are kinda stuck and unsure what to do in this situation. We currently don’t have money for an attorney at the moment.
Is there a possible lawsuit to the PD for this ? What other resources should we try looking into to help free my brother ?

2023.06.09 04:23 ee1234 Trip report: First trip to Japan (Osaka, Shimanami Kaido, Hiroshima, Hakata, Tottori, Kyoto and Tokyo)
Basics
My wife and I spent 14 days in Japan in May 2023, our first time in Japan (or anywhere in Asia). We usually got between 8-12 miles daily, though some of that was somewhat by choice, as in places like Hiroshima the transit within the city takes nearly as long as walking, and walking is preferrable to see and experience the city.
All the tips on here and those answering questions on Discord really helped plan things.
What I learned
Pay attention to the square footage of your room. We got a room at an APA in Osaka where it was literally impossible for both of us to stand up simultaneously. Luckily all of our subsequent hotels had room for us both to get dressed at the same time.
Get hotels with onsens/spas. We booked exclusively hotels with onsens/spas. This was crucial. It’s such a great day-ender to go up there for a soak in the hot/cold pools and sauna. They give you robes/lounge clothes and slippers to wear up there. It’s just incredibly cozy. Made me wish it was winter.
Japan is super easy to travel, the easiest country I’ve been to. It seems the country as a whole and everyone in it is extremely detail oriented and considers every possible issue. I’ve never seen workers tasked with holding up a screen for pedestrian protection around a man trimming the lawn until Japan. I’ve never seen a tour bus driver feather-dusting his bus until Japan. Everyone is so calm. I think I heard one person yell in two weeks. Everybody was super patient with our lack of Japanese and general lack of knowledge of their culture.
Note: We’re not really foodies. When traveling we usually just eat whenever we get so hungry that we must, plus the Japanese cuisine doesn’t mesh with our tastes, so this will be light on food.
Day by day
Day 0: Arrived at Haneda in the afternoon, got PASMO cards and caught train to Shinagawa. Then we took the Nozomi to Osaka, purchasing tickets in advance via Smart-Ex. All went smoothly despite the jet lag.
Day 1: Osaka. Mini-pig café, Don Quijote, wandered the neighborhood to the northeast of Umeda Station checking out shops, finished the day in a small bar in Dotonbori.
Day 2: Osaka area. In the morning, we rode out to Nara to see Todai-Ji and the bowing deer. The temple was stunning. In the afternoon, we went to a Hanshin Tigers game, which was great, though we were baking in the sun. It’s crazy how many beer vendors Japanese baseball games have. I didn’t go 30 seconds without a beer girl passing by. We ended the day with dinner at
Snow Lion, a Nepali restaurant that was extremely tasty.
Day 3: We activated our JR West Sanyo-San-in Area passes and headed west on the bullet train then a slow Sanyo Line train, bound for Onomichi. I rented a bike from Trek, took the ferry to Setoda and rode the Shimanami Kaido. I rode a bit south after I got off the ferry in Setoda, across the next big bridge. Then I turned around and biked back to Onomichi. It was a beautiful ride, but the parts near the Onomichi end could be skipped. Too much traffic and development. While I did this, my wife wandered around Onomichi, visiting Cat Alley and taking a ropeway ride. After that, we met up and headed for Ōkunoshima, aka Rabbit Island. This was a cool little side trip, but not sure it was worth the time expenditure. Finally, we ended the long day traveling to Hiroshima to check into our hotel. Family Mart was our main meal, because the restaurants in Tadano-Umi were all closed on Monday, and we had time to kill before the next train back to Mihara.
Day 4: We took a train and ferry trip to Miyajima and took the ropeway to the top, then walked the rest of the way to the top. It’s a beautiful island, but pretty tourist trap-ish. Later in the day we picked up Carp tickets for a future date, then checked out the Atomic Bomb Dome at night. The main meal, at Okonomiyaki Teppan-yaki Momiji-Tei, was extremely good Okonomiyaki.
Day 5: Day trip to Hakata, with a stop for the Hello Kitty exhibition at a hall near Shin-Yamaguchi Station. After Hello Kitty, we headed to Nanzoin, the reclining buddha statue and temple. It’s a wonderful place, the nice ladies at the train station will loan you some cover-up cloth if you have tattoos or your shorts are too short. After Nanzoin, we got some Hakata ramen at Ramen Stadium in the giant mall, then wandered the streets of Hakata a bit, stopping at Kushida-jinja Shrine. Back in Hiroshima that evening, we visited Sam’s Café, an American-themed bar with more memorabilia than you’d think possible. The proprietor is a wonderful older gentleman who loves America.
Day 6: We started the day at the Peace Museum. This is an extremely moving visit. A late breakfast
here featured the fluffiest egg souffle I’ve ever seen. Later, we went to the Carp game.
Day 7: Shinkansen to Himeji Castle. We scheduled ourselves a four-hour layover, which was just about perfect to walk up there, see the castle and walk through it, check out the garden, and walk back without feeling rushed and with time to grab train snacks. Then we caught the Super Hakuto to Kurayoshi where we met a friend and ended the day with some onsen time at Izanro Iwasaki in Misasa Onsen.
Day 8: Tottori Sand Dunes, Sand Museum and a trip to Refresh park Yumura, which is a very nice onsen with the standard indoor, gender-separated areas, plus some cool outdoor spots for all genders, including a little cave. You wear a swimsuit for the outdoor parts.
Day 9: I wasn’t feeling great, so I did nothing while my wife and friends went to Lake Togo area near Kurayoshi for a waterfall hike. Then we boarded the Super Hakuto for Kyoto, where we stayed.
Day 10: We got an early start to see as many temples as possible in Kyoto before our 1pm train to Tokyo. We were able to get to Kiyomizu-dera, Ginkakuji and Shimogamo-jinja before time ran out. We used the city bus, which wasn’t that bad. They weren’t quite on time and we had to let a couple pass by at the very start of our day because they were too crowded. We added our PASMO card numbers into the Smart-Ex app so boarding the Shinkansen was super easy. In Tokyo, we stayed in Ueno, which was a great spot with good accessibility to the rest of the city and lots of action and places to eat and drink.
Day 11: We started with a trip to Sanrio Puroland, which took even longer than planned due to some train delays. Our train went out of service at some point on the trip. Puroland is kind of odd. But it wasn’t too expensive and my wife loved it. On the way back we stopped at Gotokuji Temple, the waving cat temple and later caught a glimpse of the waving cat train at the nearby Miyanosaka Station. For a nightcap, we checked out Asakusa Rockza.
Day 12: Shopping/sightseeing in Akihabara. Yodobashi Camera is absolutely massive. I preferred it over Bic Camera. After some other miscellaneous shopping near Tokyo Station, we later walked from our hotel over to
this cat-themed bar.
Day 13: Near Nippori Station there’s a cat-centric neighborhood, Yanaka Cat Town. We stopped at a cat store or two as well as a cat art gallery. I got a great foot massage in this area, as well. This area was so cool we skipped out on our tickets to TeamLabs. For a nightcap, we went to one place in Golden Gai. That area is absolutely overrun with tourists.
Day 14: It was super rainy, and we didn’t have all that much time to kill before our flight, so we checked out the Tobu train museum. Definitely worth a visit if you like trains. Though kind of hard to figure out how to drive the trains if you don’t speak Japanese. Then we proceeded to Narita on the Skyliner. Note, there’s a slight discount for foreigners if you buy online.

2023.06.09 04:14 villageidiotsf Does anybody have any experience taking CCW training classes in the Bay Area? TIA. SFPD gave me these choices :
2023.06.09 03:49 am_with_stupid Testing subsonic 22 LR accuracy in my Ruger precision Rimfire
My first range day with the RPR. 52 yards. Eley Contact was the best, CCI small game was the worst. I tried some standard velocity CCI, it was almost as good as Eley. Eley grouped about 2" at 100 yards and 8" at 200 yards. 6 mph wind, 25% humidity, 125 feet elevation. I think the wind was pushing around my subs at 200, seeing as my elevation was all within 4 inches, but windage was double that. Trigger pull is light, but doesn't feel as intuitive as a Timney, which is 1/2 pound heavier. For a factory gun it's not bad. Optic is a UTG 6-24 50 mil. Talk all you want, I have 4 UTG scopes and love them.
I was not a perfect marksman here, as I was struggling finding the groove with this trigger. Not knocking the gun, I'm just not used to it. I was still very happy watching those 200 yard shots print on the sheet. I dialed the scope up 10-12 inches and held on the bottom mil dot. I did not expect the bullets to land as well as they did with the wind.
I'm not convinced this gun is better than my 10/22, but it's half the price. The RPR is a real option for someone's first gun. The trigger is still better than 90% of my other guns. It feels like a heavy gun, but I could clearly see my heartbeat moving the gun through the scope.
What ammo works best with yours?

Norm Pattis,
Alex Jones previous attorney facing 6 month law license suspension for releasing information that shouldn't have been released. This is all in addition to the group having someone who submitted testimony calling for gun control as their president.
I urge everyone to be careful where you donate. A bad judicial precedent can be worse than having no judgement at all. The big guys in this area SAF, FPC, and GOA are all strategic in their suits and have a lot of experience. Like we're in the same federal district as New York so their assault weapons challenge will also affect Connecticut. In respect to NAGR and We the Patriots USA, I've heard some say "at least they are doing something." However what they are doing may be self serving and not in the best interest of gun owners.

2023.06.09 03:06 Own-Heart-7217 Potential Matches UP-10604 Marietta, Georgia to MP-12599 Belinda Norred or MP-58311 Cindy Winn Powers
| Belinda Belinda Marietta, GA. Doe For Reference- Belinda Frances Norred – The Charley Project The UP was found in June, 1993. Belinda went missing 8/6/92 I believe the entire face "fits". In particular her cheeks. I have the same cheeks. Whatever physical markers the UP was able to give are similar to Belinda's. Belinda's truck was found in a Macon shopping center parking lot. Probably, not far from the UP. I don't have the address of the shopping center to verify this. Oddly the Namus listing on Belinda gives shoes and jewelry description but no clothing description. The UP description of the body has clothing and a pair of beaded inexpensive earrings, but no shoes, other jewelry or purse. The boyfriend was seen with some of Belinda's jewelry she always wore. He pawned the jewelry and was in possession of a gun Belinda carried in her purse. If her boyfriend was the last to see her, he described her jewelry & shoes which was what he took. Why did he not remember her clothing?Dentals- I have nothing to compare. It is a 20 minute drive (about 13 miles) to the mobile home park where Belinda lived to where the body was found. The UP, was located 5.8 miles from where her boyfriend had his listed address. All online articles from the Macon Telegraph regarding this case have been removed. Her boyfriend died in 2013. What I found odd was how close the UP & MP were geographically, and it has not been ruled out. I did submit this to the Namus representative and also sent an email to the sheriff. I heard back from the Namus rep representative: "Thank you for your submissions, we appreciate your time and support. NamUs staff will review the submitted information. Please note, identification and exclusions are only made and/or confirmed by investigating agencies. The results of comparisons may or may not be made available to the public for investigatory reasons." Unidentified Person Case (namus.gov) #10604 Missing Person Case (namus.gov) Belinda's Namus #2 I have a backup or what I would consider a second place. She was also located close to the UP and has not been ruled out. I informed the same people. (A while you were at it type of thing.) MP-58311 Cindy Win Power She went missing 34 minutes away from where the body was found (24 miles away) on New Year's Day 1989. She also matches the physical characteristics of UP-10604. Cindy Cindy UP again so you don't need to go back to the top. From the photo, she likes halter tops like the UP. I think her cheeks are also pronounced like Belinda and the UP. She has not been compared. UP-10604, Belinda nor Cindy have comparisons on Namus or any other sites known to me. Unidentified Person Case (namus.gov) #10604 Missing Person Case (namus.gov) Cindy Namus ETA PMI of UP is not stated. submitted by Own-Heart-7217 to gratefuldoe [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 02:53 Deep_Organization_57 Weird malfunction/ ejection pattern issues
So I went to the range today with my AP5 and noticed a few weird things. Im about 5000 rounds in with plenty of 9mm nato down the pipe. I was running 115 blazer brass which normally gives me no issues. I have replaced my extractor+ spring and ejector lever+ spring with HK versions so far. I had a round fail to seat into battery which has never happened. I thought that it might be due to the OEM MKE recoil spring starting to weaken so I began paying attention to my ejection pattern and saw casings fly anywhere from 6 inches from the gun to 5 ft, no matter how many bullets were left in the mag. The recoil pattern was all over the place so absolutely no consistency. It could have been doing this for a while but I just now noticed it. Does it sound like it’s time to replace the recoil spring with an HK one or does it maybe seem like something scarier. My bolt gap has been sitting at .018 since I got it and it hasn’t changed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
