2022.11.11 18:17 Desperate-Biscotti10 Transferring personal Adobe CC account into a Duke account? How does Duke Adobe CC account access work after graduation?

I have a paid personal Adobe CC account that I've used for the past ~3 years, and I'm trying to figure out if I can somehow merge it with my Duke Adobe account, or transfer all my files at once. Duke OIT and Adobe's customer service pointed me to a couple tutorials on how to download every file one by one individually and then re-upload them to my Duke account...but it seems like a lot of work to transfer my hundreds of files one at a time, just to have to transfer them back to a personal account when I graduate. Does anyone know of an easier way to merge my accounts or transfer my files? If I don't transfer files back to a personal account after graduation, will I lose access to them? Thx in advance.

2021.10.15 19:17 JudgeGroovyman Is Croquetsource gone forever

Im doing the excellent squeak tutorials by Lawson English and am concerned that an enormous body of knowledge might be gone forever in the form of the monticello repository: Croquetsource so I wanted to bring up the topic with the community here.
Does anyone know where I can find the files that used to be on Croquetsource the monticello repository that used to be at http://croquet-src-01.oit.duke.edu:8886 ?

2021.08.14 03:10 2CrowsInATrenchcoat full name change & e-mail alias update?

hi all--i've recently enrolled at duke as an inter-institutional grad student and received my login info a few days ago. i'm in the process of legally changing my full name so currently all of my duke directory information reflects my birth name as does my netID. i've changed my full name alias and display name through the OIT self-service; how long should that take to reflect the change? additionally, the 'preferred name' option isn't giving me the ability to change my full name [just first/middle].how long can i expect before hearing back from the registrar's office? is it possible to change my netID? i'm worried about confusing my professors.

2020.12.09 23:15 US_Male DukeHub 2.0 is here!

DukeHub 2.0 is here! The next time you log in, you will see DukeHub with a fresh look along with new exciting features that we are certain will improve your experience.
How do I log in?
We have made it easy for you! The URL for the new system is the same URL you have been using for the current DukeHub: https://dukehub.duke.edu. BUT before you login you must completely clear your browser history/cache. During the beta testing not clearing cache was the number one issue reported by students, faculty, and staff! Instructions on clearing your cache can be found here
Where can I find ‘how-to’ documentation?
While we think you will find the new system to be intuitive and not require much documentation, the Registrar’s website has both pdf documentation and videos should you need them: https://registrar.duke.edu/registration/registration-guides. In addition, Duke Student Government has developed a great, introductory video to DukeHub 2.0 that can be found at the following link: Introduction to DukeHub 2.0 - YouTube. Look for future student-made videos on the DSG YouTube channel.
What if I experience problems?
The SISS Office staff will be monitoring the system throughout the weekend until the start of business Monday, 12/7/2020 and during that time problems should be reported via email to [email protected]. After that date, problems should be reported to the OIT service desk via https://oit.duke.edu/help. As mentioned earlier, it is imperative that you completely clear your browser history/cache before logging in as that was the number one issue beta testers experienced.

2020.04.19 10:18 VoltikItchy Fantasy Booking WrestleMania 37 Part 1

First of all, this WrestleMania is functioning like WM 36 by having 2 Parts/Nights. There will be 7 Matches on the main show for each part and I will not be booking the Kickoff.
So, here goes nothing.
Match 1: Cesaro def. Shinsuke Nakamura (c ) and Sami Zayn in a triple threat for the IC Championship.
Notable Points in the match: With this Triple Threat mainly focusing on in ring action unlike most Triple Threats we would see a lot of crazy moves. Other than the finish, the most notable part would be the start of the match when Nakamura and Cesaro attack Sami Zayn before duking it out with a lot of strikes.
Why: Well, every match that starts the main show should leave an impression and I think this is the perfect thing to do so.
Backstory: The three manage to keep the IC Title in their inner circle (except for losing it once or twice) but then the group implodes and they settle their troubles at Mania.
Match 2: American Alpha (Benjamin and Gable) def. Team Lucha (Metalik and Dorado) and AOP (c) in a ladder match for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
Notable Points in the match: AOP perform a Super Collider on American Alpha before power-bombing them on a ladder that has been laid out in the ring. American Alpha win after The AOP take Team Lucha down with electric chair drops off of a ladder. Alpha the take care of AOP and secure the victory.
Why: Well the one and only Shorty G needs to get away from his past so making him legit by getting The Tag Titles with Shelton Benjamin.
Backstory: American Alpha want the tag titles but the biggest problem is AOP who have the the titles. The even bigger problem is that AOP are in a feud with Team Lucha (ridiculous, I know right) and they all sort oit their problems at Mania.
Match 3: Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez def. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross (c) for the Women's Tag Team Championships.
Notable Points in the match: Gonzalez choking out Cross (who is not legal ) at ringside.
Why: Well there must've been a few NXT call-ups throughout the year and it's good to give one of them a tit: le shot at some point.
Backstory: Gonzalez and Kai want to get rid of all the weak girls whi call themselves 'wrestlers' and the first thing they do to fulfill that is by dethroning the current Tag Champions.
Match 4: Brock Lesnar def. Keith Lee.
Notable points in the match: Lesnar escapes a Big Bang Catastrophe and counters it with an F-5. Lesnar can't suplex Lee that easily giving Lee an advantage.
Why: We need some notable names in the card to make Night 1 somewhat conparable to Night 2.
Backstory: Brock Lesnar obviously isn't too gapoy with what happened at Survivor Series. After Lee gets called-up, Heyman calls out Lee and Lee answers and accepts the challenge. Although it is okay to have Keith Lee not get absolutely dominated, this is the beast who conquered the streak and I think Lesnar deserves the win on that one.
Match 5: Shayna Bazsler (c) def. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Championship.
Notable Points in the match: Belair does a German Superplex. Bazsler gets in the clutch and chokes Belair pit (she doesn't tap).
Why: We need someone who can somewhat compare to Bazsler in terms of dominance.
Backstory: Belair comes out one night on Raw and calls out Bazsler for being a 'fake champion' for having her little buddies with her for every match.
Match 6: The Undertaker def. Seth Rollins in a Hell In A Cell match.
Notable Points in the match: Rollins takes a Last Ride onto some steel steps. Rollins attempts a Curb Stomp but Taker catches Rollins with a Chokeslam on his descent for the 1-2-3.
Why: You need your obligatory Taker match at Mania.
Backstory: Rollins claims that if he can slay the Beast he beat Taker at Mania.
Match 7 (Final Match!): The Miz def. Drew McIntyre for The WWE Championship in a Two-Out of Three falls match.
Notable Points in the match: I'll touch on each of the falls. Fall 1- Drew complains to the ref about a slow count but The Miz sneaks up with a Skull-Crushing Finale. Fall 2- Drew pins Miz with a Claymore Kick. Fall 3- The Miz makes Drew tap with a figure-four.
Why: Last time the Miz won a world-title he wasn't ready for it. Now he is ultimate material for a champion.
Backstory: The Miz wins the rumble. What else do I have to say.

2019.10.25 02:46 NickatDuke Tired of so many steps for Multi-Factor? Want to log in using something faster? Join our pilot!

Hi /duke! I'm part of a Duke team working on a pilot technology that we're calling Duke Unlock.
Instead of using a password and Duo with your NetID, now you can use a trusted device (such as your phone or laptop) to unlock your Duke account. It's as easy as unlocking your trusted device with your fingerprint or passcode.
How to Sign Up for Duke Unlock
For now, if you have a supported device and would like to help us test this service, please visit the following link and follow the instructions there to sign up: https://accounts.oit.duke.edu/unlock
How to Use Duke Unlock
We think the current process is a big improvement over existing password+Duo logins. However, we plan to make this even more simple as the pilot progresses. For now, instructions for how to use Duke Unlock are available here: https://idms-mfa.oit.duke.edu/mfa/unlock/help
Important Note: Because Duke Unlock relies on a brand new technology, only some devices (listed below) are currently supported. We expect that this tech will be supported everywhere soon.

2019.08.26 20:25 arid-heat Setting up Google Home in dorm?

Just wondering if anyone has been able to set up a Google Home (I have the mini if that makes a difference).
I’ve followed the OIT instructions but it still seems to have trouble connecting to both DukeOpen and DukeVisitor. I was able to connect my laptop to the speaker and get its MAC address that way to add to my devices list, but still doesn’t work.
Thanks.

2019.07.10 14:08 vasilescur Duke Dashboard centralized web/mobile app - interest and suggestions?

I'm planning to develop a centralized Duke student dashboard web and mobile app.
During the semester, I often found myself using a wide variety of tools and apps throughout the day-- the Transloc live bus map, DukeHub to check class schedule, Sakai to check announcements and assignments, Duke's website to check when restaurants are open, Google Maps to find buildings. I thought it would be a good idea to create one centralized dashboard where students can access all of the relevant information they need each day in one place-- and then expand it to a mobile app. I imagine this would especially be useful for freshmen, who are still getting oriented around campus.
Does this sound interesting? Would you use it? What features would you like to see?
Current ideas:
I'm currently in communication with Duke OIT, the CoLab, and the Registrar's office trying to get resources about available APIs and other information.

2013.01.21 02:10 insoundfromwayout Bit stuck, need an idea from some smart people - how to separate all individual colours of an image into their own layers.

I'm doing a little class on pointillism and I've got a bit stuck in photoshop, perhaps some creative minds could help out?
I have a simple image made of individual coloured dots like this
Here is a closer view.
What I want to do is isolate each individual colour, each on their own layer. Something like I have done with the light blue colour here but for every colour.
So basically I want to separate onto separate layers each individual colour in the image.
But the only way I have been able to think of is to select by colour range. Not only does this take a long time, because I have to do it for each colour and each image, but it is also is problematic because I am not sure even how many colours are in the image. I might think I have got them all, both I have missed a particular shade of green, or two shades of blue have been selected as one.
So can you think of an easier or quicker way to separate out all the colours in an image?
(I tried separating them with the threshold slider like this but that only works for light and dark, not hue. It's very close to what I want, but not exactly. Perhaps there an equivalent that can differentiate colours?)

2011.08.31 00:19 gedaxiang How to use ePrint on Mac/Linux without entering your netid every time

The ePrint software sucks, and broke with some Mac OS X update in the past iirc. Installing a printer this way makes it much easier to print. I can only vouch for this on Mac, but I'm pretty sure most Linux installations use CUPS for printing, so it should work fine.
You should have a new printer installed and should be able to print. I got the information from this OIT page. Check that out if you want to install a printer for the Color queue - it's just a matter of changing the queue name. Also, they seem to change the hostname every year, so you may have to reinstall sometimes.
